AmeriClerkships Medical Society (AMS), in partnership with Larkin Community Teaching Hospital and sanctioned by Larkin's Graduate Medical Education (GME) Department, is proud to offer a rare opportunity for its medical graduate members to enroll in Postgraduate Subinternships (PGSI) in more than 25 specialties, in the vibrant Miami area!

What can you expect from a PGSI with AmeriClerkships?
  • Be processed through the Graduate Medical Education Department.
  • Become an official member of residency and/or fellowship teams, and rotate with top residency faculty members, residents (including Chief Residents) and even Program Directors.
  • Be involved in patient care teams in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • 100% inpatient available in certain specialties.
  • Learn to participate as an integral member of a medical residency team.
  • Refine your history-taking and physical examination skills.
  • Upon successful completion of each clinical block, be able to solicit for a performance-based letters of recommendation on official GME/teaching hospital letterhead.

AMS members who successfully complete a series of Postgraduate Subinternships at Larkin (with accompanying Larkin letters of recommendation) stand a better chance at being considered for interviews by Larkin residency program directors. In fact, AMS is proud to announce that one of its alumni, Dr. Angela D., matched into and is completing her PGY1 at Larkin's Psychiatry Residency Program as a result of her completing 12 weeks of PGSI as an AMS member.

For all additional information, including testimonials, requirements and costs, check us out at http://americlerkships.org/members/services/pgsubi (or visit Larkin's page at http://www.graduatemedicaleducation....erkships-pgsi/).

Your time and money is incredibly valuable, so make sure you are utilizing your precious resources with only the BEST!

I'm available for any and all of your questions or comments =)

I have been accepted to Harvard Medical school's "Introduction to Clinical Research Training program", which is a 6 month online course with 6 days of in-person workshops at Abu Dhabi in 2 sessions.

Have any of you attended this course? If so, I would appreciate your opinion on how useful you think this would be while applying to IM residency programs. Moreover,is it worth the tuition fee of $6000?

Thanks

Lets face it, the lives of physicians can be daunting and tiresome. Social lives cease to exist, but yes the pay off is high. What if you could leverage your medical degree, make almost as much money as most physicians, but work less? Sound like a dream? it's not, you can do this!

There are other exciting and lucrative options available for med students, nurses, and pharmacists! Sollers institute trains individuals and guides them towards rewarding careers in the health care industry.

If you have a life sciences or related background and would like to enter into a high in demand healthcare field, where career growth is possible, then either Pharmacovigilance or Clinical Research is right for you! Professionals working with backgrounds in medicine, pharmacy, nursing, life sciences, and health sciences will benefit the most from these programs.

Study in class or attend sessions live online for approximately 20 hours a week for 15 weeks.

Sollers is an accredited institute by the Council on Occupational Education. Some of the organizations where Sollers graduates have found jobs include: Pfizer, Novartis, Sanofi, Baxter, Boehringer Ingelheim, Astra Zeneca, Celerion, Columbia University Medical Center, and many more!

What gives Sollers the edge is hands on training with software's like Oracle and Argus. Sollers is the only place globally which gives its students the access to train with Argus. We are also partners with oracle university.

Medical graduates and Foreign medical graduates can leverage their medical backgrounds by working in drug safety roles with pharmaceuticals and CROs.

Many medical graduates and FMG's that do not get residency start looking for other healthcare positions like: MA's, MPH, PH, OT, and so on. However, Pharmacovigilance and Clinical research are two fields where they should really be focusing their attention, rather than fields where there is no scope for one to flourish.

Clinical skills and training as a physician can be applied in the field of clinical research and pharmacovigilance and drug safety.

3) Work 40 hours a week, and have the time to enjoy your family and social life on the side. (Some of our students have been Physicians with their own practices for over 20 plus years, who have decided that they want to settle into a career that enables them the free time to spend with their families)

Hey guys, In Harvard elective form they said Applicable to
EXCLERKS: US/ CANADIAN, Does that mean International students are not applicable?
